Hey again friends. We’ve been doing a lot of projects around the house lately and this one was done a few weeks ago and I don’t think I ever showed you.
If I could ever shiplap my entire house I would literally die. But, that wont happen until we purchase home someday out in the country. For now, we need to build DIY Shiplap Wall hangings so I can get my fill. These are amazing for renters that don’t want to put holes in the walls & you can move it if you get tired of it.
Ideally, I think I want to make one that expands through our entire dining room, but for now, this one will do.

We cut a little hole in our sign so we can still use our outlet as we plan to eventually build a sliding barn door console for this nook and have two pretty rustic lamps in here. But for now, we have this beat up X-Frame Console Table hanging out & it serves its job.
In these photos the console looks so busy, but in real life it looks so pretty. Not busy at all.

I absolutely love my rustic tired mug holder that I purchased when we lived in the old farmhouse. I had it on my Island for the longest time and now I’m kind of loving it on this console.

It’s basically just a compilation of things I love. Beat up decor & distressed goodness.

If wanting to also build this ultra easy shiplap sign, head on over to Design, Dining & Diapers. She has a great tutorial up. We never really followed a tutorial when making ours, but then we totally forgot to document the plans. So head on over to her blog and she has super easy to follow plans.

Thanks for stopping in today. We are busy building a bed for my parents as well a toddler bed for our daughter today. The snow is starting to melt which, I’m not going to lie, makes me sad. But trying to boost spirits with other things today. Also, because people ask me where my pieces are from, constantly. I’ll be doing shopable links in the bottom of every post so you can see where to buy everything.
PS. I totally realized I blogged about this twice.. so ignore my insanity and double posting!
Have an amazing weekend friends!

If this is a double post, I’m really glad you did. I didn’t see the previous one. I love what you have done with the shiplap. I am also in love with the ladder in the corner.

The tutorial link you provided has her hanging the planks on the wall. What did you do differently to make it a wall hanging?
