I’m totally getting better at being a mom of four and blogging. haha.. I feel myself slowly returning back to life. But ‘knock on wood’ because Rhett is almost four months and there could be four month sleep regression right around the corner. Ughhhhh, the worst. But if I have to be honest, I’m just thankful I have a baby to squish.
I’ve been keeping a pretty big secret from you all since January and I guess it’s about time I spilled the beans. Back in January we found out that our lovely home sold. ( No, not ours, we are only renters. ) That being said our Landlord graciously let us stay here until July. I know, seven whole dang months… he’s the best. So on to find another house we went… I literally started looking in February and couldn’t find anything. In our parts of the world it’s super slim pickings and rentals are so dang expensive that you pretty much have to sell your first born. So instead of being in a larger/newer home, we are in an older updated 3 bedroom rancher. It might be tight, but at least we will be able to put food on the table. Yep, things are that expensive here y’all. But guys, we live in paradise so I can handle it. Plus, less square footage to clean.
To be honest, I kind of love cute little homes. It reminds me of what is important. There are fewer walls and we need to spend more time together. It’s like that song:
But you know, love grows best in little houses
With fewer walls to separate
Where you eat and sleep so close together
You can’t help but communicate
Oh, and if we had more room between us, think of all we’d miss
Love grows best, in houses just like this
So I’m doing what I love best, mapping and decorating everything out in my head and making mood boards for everything!
I have so many exciting collaborations in the works for the next few months and I feel pretty lucky to be working with them. This blog might just be something I do for fun and to get out my creativity, but it really makes it even MORE fun when brands send me fun things to review!
So we’ve been busy packing, painting, cleaning baseboards, power washing and getting everything in tip top condition for the new owners. Last weekend we made a HUGE dent in it all and I’m excited to take the next few weeks at a slower pace.
So what does this mean for my blog? It means I might be posting a little less DIY’s for the next few weeks and a little more personal blogs.
If you ever want to start a blog, I highly encourage it. It’s the most fun and it’s kind of neat to find yourself on Pinterest and be like “Hey, people are actually pinning my posts!” Click here to see my low down on how to start your own blog and once you do, pop the link below. I’d LOVE to read yours. If you already have a blog please drop your link below so I can check it out!
