100 Canadian Small Shops To Support This Christmas
This year I really wanted to write a blog highlighting all the Canadian Small Shops To Support This Christmas Season.
When I was four, my parents opened up a local print shop in Courtenay, BC known as ABC Printing and Signs. I grew up appreciating and supporting local and small shops and knowing the hard work, sweat and sometimes prayers that go into owning a small shop. Especially, Canadian small shops.
We all know that Amazon is the one-stop-shop for everything. But what people don’t stop to think about is the millions of small businesses spread across the world that it’s taking money from.
To make matters worse, well, 2020.
Yes, big box stores have their place and sometimes shopping big is unavoidable, but even if we all bought from a small shop once or twice a month, it would make a world of difference!
I wanted to write a categorized list of small shops spread across Canada that we can support and purchase from this Christmas season.
So without further ado, here’s a categorized list of some Canadian small shops

A rule we go off when shopping for our kids is:
Something To Wear, Need, Want and Read
It helps break down and minimize the amount of gifts that are given.
We also remember quality over quantity. Yes, something might be cheaper, but how well is it made and what materials are used?
I hope this comprehensive list of 100 Canadian small shops helps with your Christmas shopping. Feel free to drop links to other small Canadian shops with online stores in the comments as well.

Check out @changeisgoodyyc on Instagram! It’s an online thrift store initiative and 100% of proceeds go towards an addictions recovery centre. They sell sweatshirts and are doing a gift bag initiative for Christmas where individuals in addiction recovery programs are making items (jewelry, leatherwork, sewing… etc) and these bags are being sold with all profit going to the individuals!
I love this! What a great cause too ❤️
