As we’re now on day 20 of Isolation, I’m wracking my brain on how I can continue to do DIY and home design when I have little to no supplies on hand.
I recently came across the picture below on Pinterest and I automatically knew I wanted to replicate this piece of artwork. My only issue was, I didn’t have paper or cardboard large enough to fit my frame.

No problem. I decided to flip over one of my existing pieces of art that I was getting tired of and start painting on the back.
You will need any type and any color of paint and a small paint brush. Since I didn’t have a paint brush, I used a small old makeup brush that was clean.

I started painting brush strokes in uneven lines and different sizes. Then once I was done, I went over a few of them to stagger the darkness of the brushstrokes. Again, you can do this any way you want. It’s the easiest DIY I’ve ever done and the quickest. It took twenty minutes for my prints to completely dry.

I painted two different pictures as I loved the look of the first on my mantle. I’m trying to eliminate some of the colour in our home as for some reason have a lot of pink. I went through a big pink stage last year. Ha!
annnnnd are you ready for the finished DIY art?
I feel bad calling this a DIY because it’s so simple, but it has made a huge impact on our mantle!

I would of loved an even bigger photo, but this was the largest picture I had.

I hope you’re having a great week and staying safe. As always, if this inspires you I would love if you shared!
