I’ve always dreamed of a vintage, farmhouse tablescape but our dishes were anything but glamourous. They had gone through countless moves and had chips taken out of them, not to mention we were missing half the set.
Our dining room has been one of our biggest struggles in our home to decorate. It’s SUCH a tight space at only 5×8 so there isn’t much room for anything.
We had a clients table come back last year due to warping and movement, so since we don’t mind a rustic table and their natural cracks and movement, we moved it into our own home. The only problem was, it was 6×3. We had to be very creative for chairs so we opted for a bench for the window. All three of our kids love sitting together and it’s so much easier than having three chairs.
Glen built me this stunning centre piece box to hold flowers and branches. I love to have beefy decorations on my table that my kids wont ruin so this box fits the bill. If you would like something similar, check out our etsy store for a select boxes in different stains.
It’s basically just a large box that he made to look reclaimed.
I really love boho, farmhouse, grungy and modern decor.. it’s a bit confusing because none of those styles really jive. So this farmhouse tablescape really screams who I am. The table runner is an Anthropologie look alike that I couldn’t believe I found. I got mine at Homesense here in Canada, and there was only one.
I also scored these glasses at Homesense. They have look alike glasses at Anthropologie that I was drooling over, but after the exchange rate and shipping It would of been too much. Sometimes I’m so jealous of all you Americans! But oh well, I just have to save my money, which is better, right?
I was super lucky to stumble upon this collaboration with Stokes. They sent me two sets of the Athens Dove Dinnerware sets and of course, I’m totally in love. They fit the bill for my farmhouse theme to a T. They are such well made and THICK. I highly doubt these will get broken anytime soon.
It’s fun playing with our space now that the dining room has been painted a light grey, and we have new lighting in from last summer, from Home Depot, seen here.
When Rugstudio Contacted me to collaborate with them I was thrilled. I got to pick out this amazing, low pile jute rug for free and they also sent me four pillows. I highly recommend that you check them out as they daily have sample sales. Meaning, that they will mark a high end rug as a “sample rug” and you get it for pennies.
Also, if anyone has a great watermark maker, mine clearly sucks. As you can see in all my photos, they’re big, small, medium, small.. It doesn’t do the best job. Hit me up with your choice application!
Huge thank you to Stokes & Rug Studio for sponsoring this blog. We are so thankful for your support!

I found your website from a Pinterest I came across. I visited your page and could not find the table on Pinterest. It is a white circular table on a white distressed large milk can. Did you make? Or can I buy?
It’s a DIY made by another blogger. Check out Liz @ Love Runs Wild ❤️
