Good morning friends ( or night, whenever you are reading this )! I thought it would be the perfect Sunday to sit down and share all about my last maternity session I had in early December. I wanted to feel beautiful and I wanted to capture some photos of my last pregnancy. If you’re new around here, this is my 5th pregnancy and 4th full term baby. We lost our sweet Little girl ( Nolan ) and 17 weeks in utero.
Every pregnancy I’m super sick. Like, can’t-get-out-of-bed-sick. This pregnancy however I have been taking a slew of supplements from Young Living and I swear that’s why I’ve had such an amazing pregnancy. On that list is:
-Ningxia Red
-Super B
-Magnesium
-Multigreens
-Omegagize
& of course, using Essential Oils.
Okay, so back to my session. It was a cold day.. I think it was 1 or 2 degrees out. The kids were freezing and whining and Ricci had to work her fastest to get some amazing shots ( which she always manages to do ). Once we put the kids in the running car, she managed to sneak a few shots of me alone. If you haven’t checked out LilacClothing, you totally should. They make maternity and non maternity clothing, and it’s so comfortable. The shirt I’m wearing in these photos is from there and I will most likely be wearing it as a long tunic once I pop this dude out.
This has literally been my heaviest pregnancy ever. Heck, I was heavier than I had ever been before I even conceived & guess what? I’ve probably been the most confident I’ve ever been. Thing is, I’m slowly learning to love me for who I am. To love every roll, every curve and every ‘flaw’. It isn’t healthy to live otherwise. I especially feel like it’s important now that I have a little girl who is now three. I do not want her to grow up with body dysmorphia. I’ve known way too many women and girls along the way who have no confidence, who have fallen prey to eating disorders and various other things. Those things can rip your life apart and hear me now, if you are one of those women, know that you have my heart. You can do this.
A few weeks ago I posted one of these photos and a man who I have never met commented and said “Wow, you sure have gotten fat”. I honestly just had to laugh. For someone to even think that means that their heart is so so dark. It made me feel sad for the person. You know?
So hold your head high and know you’re gorgeous whatever size you are: Size 0 – Size 22! Maternity Session
