It’s Monday which means everyone is guzzling coffee and doing a happy dance. No? Just me? Today I’m jumping on the blog to share our one room challenge.. and let me say, this room WAS a challenge, but the laundry room makeover turned out better than expected and I cannot wait to share it with you.
If you want to take a peek back, here is the laundry room we started with and if you’re super impatient like me, you can scroll through all the words to see the photos below.
I knew I wanted to put these peach decals on the walls, but I didn’t realize that I would need a wall divider because peach decals on all three walls would be very pricey and I only had four sheets of them. So we decided to do a SUPER inexpensive board and batten on the majority of the wall and guys, guess how much it cost!? Only 45 dollars for the entire Laundry Room Makeover! It’s so so so inexpensive it just takes some elbow grease..

As you can see in the photos we did peaches on all three walls and left the wall parallel to the washer and dryer blank – although we did put a fresh coat of white paint on it. I basically just wanna throw a mattress in here and camp out. It’s too pretty just for laundry!

When we first moved into this house almost two years ago our Landlord said she couldn’t wait to see what we did with this room as they had just mudded and bought this cute vanity sink for the laundry room.
Well… a while has gone by and we FINALLY put a bit of elbow grease into the laundry room and I really hope we made her proud. If not, the decals easily come off and the board and batten does too.

Okay, so now let’s do a recap on what we purchased to transform this space and how you can do it too
1 Can of White Paint x 50
1 Bundle of Trim Boards x 46.00
Light Fixture Amazon 81.00 ( But returning as it’s terrible quality )
1 Pine 2x10x8 10.00
2 Sets Brackets x 42.00
1 Wall Pegs 22.00
= 170.00 ( if you exclude the light fixture we’re returning )

I’m honestly so blow away but the transformation and so glad I have a happy that likes to do DIY’s with me.
I’m telling you folks, if you’re willing to put a bit of hard work in, you can do crazy things with very little money.
Also, I didn’t include the cost of the decals in as they were gifted to us, but if you’re interested in purchasing your own, you can find them here. To do our entire laundry room we had two full orders.
Please let me know what you think of our laundry room makeover in the comments!
