This has been long time secret I’ve been holding in and I’ve been so excited to share it with you. Back in late February I signed on with a Canadian company to do a living room makeover.
I love that it’s a Canadian company AND they make custom pieces. How cool is it?
Today I wanted to jump on and share my living room plans and moodboard with you all as the pieces will be coming in late next week!
When we stained our mantel shelves and painted the fireplace white back in April, it was for the long-term plane of this living room makeover. I knew I wanted a more neutral and coastal tones. The black fireplace was so pretty, but it didn’t go with the vision I had.
This living room makeover has taken a while, but I’m excited to see the full vision come together.
Right now I’m so happy with how soft and natural things look. We’ve taken out a lot of the colour and harsh tones out and replaced them with pieces that are easy on the eyes. This rug is not staying in here ( it actually belongs in my office ) It’s just cozying up the space due to the demise of this rug.
It’s always crazy to me the power of paint. I completely changed the look of this living room with white paint and pulling out a few of the darker pieces of decor. So when someone says “I don’t have money to make over a room”, YES YOU DO. Scroll through so many of my blogs where we have done projects for free or with literally under 50 dollars to transform a space.
We currently stained our decor and I’m SO EXCITED to show you the completed look. With 50 dollar can of deck stain, it looks like a completely new place.
For the new space, we will be keeping this grey chair from Article in here as well as the existing coffee table and side tables. The sofa, two additional chairs and media stand will be changed out though.
I’m excited to have a durable sofa with a zip off cover that will fit my entire family ( think much longer )
I’m curious to think what you guys think of the living room plans and the moodboard? Or do you like how it’s styled right now?
I hope you guys have a great weekend and stay on the lookout for my deck reveal tomorrow!
