Hey friends! The sun is shinning, it’s the Lord’s day & we had pancakes for breakfast. I mean… could this day be any better? I wanted to share my new consoles with you that Glen built me. Eventually someday we will get tutorials up for you guys so you can build them too, but for now, sadly you will just have to drool over mine.
I knew that I wanted the “Printmakers” console in my home. It’s what I had in my last home and I’m obsessed with the beat up, vintage, billion handle look. Although I knew I wanted to switch things up slightly. As you know, if you follow me, I get tired of things easily.
I posted about our new RH inspired dining room sideboard, here & the plan all along was to build something in the same color, with same knobs in our living room.
We ended up mixing a ton of styles and we came up with this piece. Three drawers in the middle and two printmaker style doors on either side. It matches our console pretty closely.
It always takes me a while to style pieces when I bring them in, so this isn’t how it will be staying. I have a dream of doing a big wall of photos and fun prints over top of the TV someday, but for now, this will have to do.
I do love the antique vibe this piece has going for it while still feeling very modern.
Isn’t it fun?
We’re currently in the shop today working on a really beat up, vintage looking coffee table. I’m thinking of staining it in coffee or tea.. so stay tuned for that tutorial. We’re just full of DIY’s lately, hey?
Also, something else we’re working on today is spray painting our chandelier that hangs over our dining table to match these vintage looking knobs. From afar they look like a washed stainless steel, but they are beat up looking in person. So pretty!
I cannot wait to get my entire dining room on the blog in a week or two. Waiting for a few things to come in the mail from a few companies I’m working with.
So, what do you think of my matching consoles? Love them? Hate them? Although, lets be real, I’m pretty sure no one would actually tell me they hate them.
We had to drop the TV mount down a good 8″ because this console is 6″ shorter than our last TV stand. I think it suits the space as it’s such a small room.
Here’s another peek shot of our dining room.. slowly in progress.
Anyways, I sound so lame today.. I really wanted to post about my consoles, but I’m not in the blogging mood. I have nothing really interesting to talk to you all about other than my consoles… so go enjoy your sunday & we will meet up again next week when I have some fun news & DIY’s to share with you.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
