New Hair [ & How To Get It ]

January 8, 2020 12 Comments

The first thing on the docket for 2020 was doing something for ME. I spent all of 2019 working really hard and although I’m so proud of that year, I did burn out. I think one of the best ways we can take care of those around us is by taking care of ourselves first. SO, I decided to get some new hair and I love love love the end result.

I made sure I was 100% sure ( I thought about it for over 6 months ) and then I compiled a few styles of what I loved. I really love Liz Marie Galvans hair, but for the colour, I really like Bethany Menzel’s.

When going into my stylist I made sure I told her exactly what I wanted for colour and style and she did such an amazing job executing it.

I’m not going to lie I was scared sh*tless to get this done. I know it’s just hair and my hair grows at insane rates.. BUT I cut my hair off in 2015 and it was so bad and I guess I’ve just never recovered! My confidence went down 100 points that year and I swore I would never cut my hair again… but here I am.

It ended up turning out amazing.. just don’t cut it yourself 😉

Keep in mind, the photos are quite contrasted so it looks more yellow and dark in the photos – but man guys, it’s good.

She used a level 10 on the bottom of my hair and a bit throughout my hair and a level 7 on my roots ( which was VERY close to my natural colour )

As for the cut, she gave me a Bob that hits at my shoulders. Then she gave slight texture to the ends but kept it very blunt.

If this is something that has been remotely on your mind – I say just do it. I don’t know why, but this felt so amazing to have done. To have the heaviness of my hair just chopped off & to have it lightened a bit, it just feels like a new year and new me. Sooooo cheesy to say that, but truth.

Here’s a photo with no filter on whatsoever so you can see the true colours

Let me know what you guys think of the new hair below!

I love change – but for some reason long hair makes me feel more feminine, so this was such a huge step for me. Thank you!

Love it! So sassy! I recently, last Saturday, cut about 10 inches off mine! It’s so freeing, isn’t it?!
