Hey friends!
I’ve dialled back on my blog a bit to really take advantage of my Young Living Business and sometimes with saying a hard yes to something, you need to say no to other things. As much as I find so much joy in blogging, I’ve only got so much time in a day.
A few weeks ago for Easter we spent the entire weekend up at our family heritage land. There is no running water, we drink out of a well. We only have electricity for five hours out of the day and everything seems so simple and peaceful up there.
One of the joys of this place is that there are so many antique and vintage crates and goodies laying around. There is a store building on the property that basically hasn’t been touched in decades and I found this stunning old farmhouse desk in it. I varnished the top as it wasn’t ever sealed and had a lot of mouse droppings on the top. Then I cleaned up the base a bit and cleaned it with my Thieves cleaner and good to go.
When I initially brought it home It had mouse poo, cobwebs and dirt all over it. I gave it some lovin’ light sanded the legs down as the paint was crumbling off and then varnished everything to protect it.
Hope you’re all having an amazing day! It’s sunny here on the west coast and I’m feeling extra thankful today. Life may not be perfect, it may be stressful and crazy but we have each other and a roof over our heads and that’s all that matters.
