Our Farmhouse Living Room
This January has been so exciting for me. I normally struggle super hard with the ‘blues’ during January and February. Coming off a Christmas high and spending so much time with family, then January and February are just blah. You hear me?
Well this year has been completely different. We have been in full speed preparing for Rhett’s arrival. Doing DIY projects, catching up on things in the house that need fixing etc. It’s really kept my mind more positive this year and the anticipation of baby’s arrival is just like Christmas morning. ( I’m not telling y’all to go out and get pregnant in May, promise 😉 )
The last few weeks I’ve really been focusing on our living room as we spend a lot of time in it as a family. Pretty much every single item and decor in this space has been gifted, purchased at a thrift store, or DIY’d, but that’s what makes our home so special and unique to us.
The TV stand is really temporary right now until I find the perfect piece to refinish that is the right price point, but that will take time as1 I live in the boonies.
If you’re wanting to see each project in our space, I’ll be tagging them below.
A few of the pieces in the space I never even wrote blogs about ( sorry guys…) farmhouse living room
As for the rest of the decor, I’ll tag it below for those who are interested. farmhouse living room
I think my style has really revolved into cozy. Whatever translates into that category wins. Clearly I love Farmhouse style, but I also love a few modern pieces to even out the rust and chips. So I’ve come to realize that maybe my style is Modern Farmhouse. Is that such a thing? farmhouse living room
I take such pride in my home and since I work from home, I really want to love the space I am in. I also take pride in refinishing projects, DIY or having to work a bit at something. Last year we lived in a newer build, and something was always off. I always felt incomplete. Such a weird thing haha… but I always felt like something was missing. If wanting to see our walk through of that home ( we never actually completed as we only lived there 6 short months. Click Here. ) farmhouse living room
We’ve now lived in our home for 7 months and we’ve been loving it. It’s not new, most things are outdated.. but it’s given us something to focus on and work at. Plus the more you that you put in a home, the homier it feels. farmhouse living room
Below is how my living room looks today. Expect that to change as you know I’m always changing.. farmhouse living room
