Hands up if you live in a rental or you cannot afford to renovate your dream kitchen. ( All the people put their hands up ). Today I want to teach you how to personalize a kitchen you don’t love.
I want to put a disclaimer up that we do have a beautiful kitchen. But I dislike the cabinet colour, backsplash, pulls and flooring. But since we’re in a rental, there’s not much I can do. Yes, I could update the pulls but that would cost a few hundred dollars and would take copious amounts of time to reinstall the old pulls when we move out.
So here are a few tips to personalize a kitchen you don’t love

Tips To Personalize A Kitchen
- Add A Towel Bar
Towel bars aren’t just for towels. You can hang cups, wooden accessories, small cutting boards, tea towels, whisks and other eye candy to make your space feel a bit more cozy and functional!
2. Add Vintage Artwork
3. Update Your Linens
New Tea towels and oven mits really go a long way in making a space feel cozy and if you have a dark kitchen, adding light or white linens can brighten up the space.
4. Vintage Pottery
5. Decorate With Cookbooks
6. Glass Canisters For Flours and Starches
7. Showcase Your Cutting Boards For Warmth and Texture

You can dress up your kitchen with items from the dollar store, Ikea, Walmart and even the thrift store. A beautifully styled kitchen that you like to being in doesn’t have to be expensive!
All of the pottery I thrifted as well as the vintage artwork. The glass canisters I bought at Walmart a few years ago!
