I hope you all are having a lovely Friday. In this house we celebrate Good Friday and we believe and remember that Jesus died on the cross for us.
We had a really slow lovely morning and spent just over an hour watching a live streaming service for Good Friday. Then I made the kids all vegan grilled cheese ( as we’re all out of real cheese ) and now they’re watching Petter Rabbit.
Buuuuut, besides telling you every detail about our day, I wanted to hop on to share our newly designed photo gallery. This wall has been such a headache and let me tell you why;
I love me a good photo gallery. It looks amazing in others home or even on Pinterest. But a I started designing my own I started to become more na more clastrophic – haha. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I’m a minimalist at heart and every photo I added to the wall gave me more and more anxiety. So after spending all day yesterday designing the wall and moving our living room around, I got out of bed at 1 AM and took most of the photos down.
If you read to the bottom of the blog, I’ll have my TikTok video from yesterday on how it looked before I made it a bit more minimal.
Honestly, there wasn’t any rhyme or reason to this wall. Gallery walls are meant to be a reflection of you personally. Something that really needs to be broken through is that people think all photos need to be spaced perfectly apart and everything needs to be symmetrical. Not the case at all.
Here are a few gallery walls that I love:

When I originally did our photo was yesterday, it was way way too busy. I ended up taking 5 photos off and it is perfect now!

By the way, this room is ultra ultra hard to photograph unless you’re standing in the entrance.
I originally had about 11 photos on the wall, but I pulled 5 off as it was just too much.
One of the biggest reasons I wanted to focus on a photo gallery was because of our TV. It’s a “photo” when turned off. We could just have it on its lonesome, but I wanted a few other pictures on the wall to fill out the 8×10 white wall.
Below is a different photo we’ve had on the screen occasionally.

This is the Samsung “The Frame” TV. This is by no way sponsored, but I just thought I would tell you what it is so my inbox doesn’t fill up with questions ๐
It’s probably the best thing ever as I hated the look of traditional TV’s.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and stay safe!
