Progress On Our Farmhouse Bedroom

January 3, 2017 9 Comments

As I mentioned earlier, we really want to paint our walls off white. Some might think this is too much white, but to me, I think it’s a perfect canvas for decorating around. I want to get a cozy traditional rug for our room which would basically be our pop of color. See here for the rug I love. But even though I can’t afford a rug yet and we haven’t painted our walls or refinished our blue dresser yet, I decided to do a bit of decorating. I hung my favorite distressed photo above our bed & added some cozy blankets on top of our duvet. I even added some greenery & framed photos to make it feel actually lived in.

The Progress on our farmhouse master bedroom. We made our side tables to match a pair we saw in an episode of fixer upper and our bed is distressed white with a sage plant to make our space pop www.whitepicketfarmhouse.com

The little green wreaths hanging from our mirrors were purchased at Target a few years back and sadly now they’re falling apart. Our daughter likes to pick pieces of of it. So a new wreaths will probably have to be brainstormed too. I’m thinking of making something out of drop clothes… so stay tuned!

On a change of topic, it’s a bit comical to me. I’ve received a handful of emails of people rudely saying how I should blog less and how my daily blogs are irritating to them. Guys, it’s so simple, please unsubscribe. These emails are not only hurtful to me, but silly. You could simply just unsubscribe. This blog is my outlet. I don’t blog because I have to, I blog because I want to. It’s like a journal with pretty pictures. On top of that, it’s how I earn income. It’s one of the few joys in the crazy bustle of the week. So, if you want to hear from me less, this blog might not be the best blog to subscribe too. Also, if you love my blogs but find the daily emails are too much, you can always unsubscribe and like my blog facebook page .

    Jess,
I saw where your children were picking apart the mirrors… I have an idea… Take polymer clay, work it to pliable and roll out! Dust baby powder on a good piece of the piece mirror that would match the missing piece .. Place polymer on top..lightly press.. Remove mold.. Mix plaster of Paris in mold let harden.. Cut if needed glue in place.. Fill in crack with wood filler of needed Paint.. ๐Ÿ™‚ this works on missing pieces of anything broken like lamps to making matching wood trim price
