Comfort Works Review

I Did Something I Said I Would Never Do.

August 28, 2018 Leave a Comment

I feel like my living room has been the center of attention for a while now, but seeing as it’s the heart of our home and SO MUCH has happened in this room, I just can’t stop talking about it. I did something I said I would never do and I got pink sofa covers for my Ektorp Sofas. It was the most terrifying decision, but  I’m pretty excited with how they look in my space. These covers are from the “Madison Collection” from Comfort Works.

Something that I LOVE about this refresh is that it’s cheap and non permanent. I purchased both of my Ikea Ektorp Sofas for under 100 dollars off Craiglist. I already own white sofa covers for my set, but I had to try this pink set out too.

I had these covers custom made by Comfort Works. The material is from the “Madison Collection“. It’s a worn, extra soft looking luxery cover that literally looks like it walked out of Anthropologie. It’s all kinds of gorgeousness.

What girl doesn’t want pink sofas? I mean, pretty much a dream come true for me. If you’re not digging the pink, these covers come in six other colors that are more muted.

I personally love that this is the only pop of color in my room – and for occasions like Christmas, I can switch them out for my white covers.

My living room is the first thing you see when you walk in my front door and I feel like it sets the tone of our home. I want our home to exude cozy, but also stylish. Our home has always been “Farmhouse Modern” styled and I feel like these covers fit really well into that theme. If you do not have an Ektorp they make covers for many Ikea Sofas and some Pottery Barn Sofas.

Okay, so for my actual review of these Madison Collection Covers from Comfort Works:

They are so high quality, they are probably triple the quality of the Ikea Ektorp covers from Ikea. They are super strength and very soft. They’re also labeled. Each Seat, Back and Structure cover is labeled with where it goes. It also has a three year warranty and they are handmade.

The ONLY con I have and this is very small is that the covers are pretty wrinkled when arriving but I chalk this up to    being in packaging. It states on the website that within 1-3 weeks it will be wrinkle free. Also, if you are really impatient ( like me ) you can buy a hand steamer for under 30 dollars.

  • ✨Double tap if you’ve got an amazing dad or hubby in your life✨
.
I recently came across a post that was shaming dads for not showing up or pulling their weight. I guess I find so much offence In this because I know so many amazing dads who do it all.
.
Let me first say, I KNOW those men exist; but so do those women.
.
I’m really over people generalizing groups of people. I wouldn’t be who I am or what I am if it wasn’t for the strong force behind me: my husband.
.
Yes, I’m lucky. But I also refuse to accept less. We both pull our weight in every area of our lives as equals & as partners.
......
And, I’ll get off my soapbox. But know, I’m rooting for you good dads of the world 👊🏻
  • Cheesin’ cause mama caved and gave him boobies. 😬
  • This little dude is ONE on Thursday 😭😭
Freeze time freeze.
.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.” Psalm 139:13-18
  • Do you ever feel like a shell of yourself?
I’m going to be real honest with you, lately, I have.
Here’s the thing, I know it’s hormones as I’m weaning Rhett, but that doesn’t make it any better.
Some days I’m okay and done days I’m just sad and blah feeling.
.
THIS DOESN’T MEAN I NEED HELP. IT MEANS I’M BEING VULNERABLE WITH YOU + HOPING THIS MIGHT HELP NORMALIZE THESE FEELINGS ALL MAMAS FEEL.
.
If you’re in this phase of your life, know this will pass. It isn’t forever and someday the extra snuggles will be missed.
.
Give yourself the biggest pat on the back for being everything you are.
.
PS, being a female is hard work. We’re pretty much walking stress balls.
  • Good morning & I hope you’re functioning in this crazy amounts of snow out there!
If you missed the blog on the details of putting up this removable wallpaper from @urbanwalls hit the link in my bio to check it out!

But one thing that went right is these pretty pieces of art were delivered from @minted

.
Do you own art? If so, what kind? I love watercolour pieces 👊🏻
