DIY Reclaimed Skinny Bench

Last week Glen and I built a DIY skinny reclaimed bench. We had an empty wall in our laundry room, which leads out to our deck, and I really wanted to style it with a bench, some baskets for towels and utility hooks for items we use.

This bench costs under 20 dollars ( free if you have the wood like us ), and it only took us a few hours to build, sand and stain!

These skinny reclaimed benches are all over the internet and can go for upwards of 3000 dollars, which is NUTS.

DIY Built-In Dining Room Seating

Hello Friends – Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Canadians, I hope it was a lovely weekend for you! We personally stuck around home and had a pretty low key weekend. We had Glen’s Mom over on Sunday night and my Sister-In-Law and Brother over on Saturday night. But we mostly spent our time completing our new DIY Built-In Dining Room Seating!

Obviously this is a pretty particular project as the dimensions were specific to our space, but I will try to give you as much detail as possible so you can achieve the same look in yours!
