Front Door Makeover With Fat Paint

May 28, 2016 2 Comments

Sorry I’ve  been so MIA this week. We’ve been working super long hours in the shop lately and I’ve been feeling burnt out. Like, complete brain mush. So please pardon me if this post makes zero sense. But I had to paint my Front Door the old blue was getting super beat up. So enjoy this little front door makeover.

I’m one of those gals who lives hard with something and then gets tired it it fast. One of the joys of our job is staging our furniture & interior decorating. I think one of the biggest reasons our business is so successful is because I bring our products into our home and stage it & live with it. People like to see how a piece can be implemented into their life.

  • Four little ones in the bed and the little one said roll over, roll over.. and they all rolled over and one fell out.
Swipe right to see the photo I was trying to get 🤪 but Rhett wasn’t having it!
Thoroughly enjoying our stay at @wallcentrevancouver it’s been such a treat!
  • And just like that, this little monkey is now ONE.
.
This last year has been anything but easy, from being blindsided at his birth with his conditions, to colick, to many sleepless nights - I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
.
This week we have the pleasure of staying at @wallcentrevancouver and it’s stunnnnning. This is our balcony on the 25th floor.
.
I originally wanted to get a cute photo of Rhett with a gold #1 balloon, but WHERE do you find balloons in the city?! 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • ✨Double tap if you’ve got an amazing dad or hubby in your life✨
.
I recently came across a post that was shaming dads for not showing up or pulling their weight. I guess I find so much offence In this because I know so many amazing dads who do it all.
.
Let me first say, I KNOW those men exist; but so do those women.
.
I’m really over people generalizing groups of people. I wouldn’t be who I am or what I am if it wasn’t for the strong force behind me: my husband.
.
Yes, I’m lucky. But I also refuse to accept less. We both pull our weight in every area of our lives as equals & as partners.
......
And, I’ll get off my soapbox. But know, I’m rooting for you good dads of the world 👊🏻
  • Cheesin’ cause mama caved and gave him boobies. 😬
  • This little dude is ONE on Thursday 😭😭
Freeze time freeze.
.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.” Psalm 139:13-18
  • Do you ever feel like a shell of yourself?
I’m going to be real honest with you, lately, I have.
Here’s the thing, I know it’s hormones as I’m weaning Rhett, but that doesn’t make it any better.
Some days I’m okay and done days I’m just sad and blah feeling.
.
THIS DOESN’T MEAN I NEED HELP. IT MEANS I’M BEING VULNERABLE WITH YOU + HOPING THIS MIGHT HELP NORMALIZE THESE FEELINGS ALL MAMAS FEEL.
.
If you’re in this phase of your life, know this will pass. It isn’t forever and someday the extra snuggles will be missed.
.
Give yourself the biggest pat on the back for being everything you are.
.
PS, being a female is hard work. We’re pretty much walking stress balls.
