This time of year is my favourite and I have wanted to decorate our Holiday Master Bedroom, but between all the activities and decorating I need to space stuff out. If I do it all on a weekend, I won’t do a good job and then end up pulling everything down and decorating again in a few weeks.
This year I really wanted to make this home feel so special. So I’ve spaced everything out over a month. I know that might be really slow for most of you. But I’m 26 weeks pregnant, with a toddler in tow and two little boys that don’t leave me a lot of energy. I know you catch my drift.
I started with the living room, then moved to our kitchen, (skipped the dining room as it NEEDS to be painted ) and started down the hall, and finally made it to our bedroom today.
This year I made an agreement with myself that I was going to try and do everything for free, or next to free. So far, I’ve spent under 20 dollars total. So I’m pretty proud of myself. My husband often brings me home a ton of boughs, so I’ve used those in a ton of my decorating this year. Free and it smells amazing! Win-Win!
I started decorating our bedroom and snapping photos and half way through I thought, that pew would look amazing in our room. It does, but it’s hard to photograph in such a small space, so I hope you can look around my crappy photography and see how cozy it actually is.
So without further rambling on, check out our 2017 Holiday Master Bedroom. I’m truly obsessed with how it turned out ( minus the yellow walls, but oy, pregnancy ). I’d love to hear what you think! Also I hope I can inspire some of you to realize that decorating doesn’t have to be expensive. I always get prospective bloggers or just random mamas messaging me on Instagram saying that they wish they had a house like mine, but they had such a small budget.. well, ME TOO. Especially right now, our budget is non-existent. So I’ve truly had to be creative and look high and low for some neat ( free ) vintage finds. It’s so much more worth it and your husband will thank me 😉
Also, for your reference, below are the sources to the decor in my room. I always get emails & messages, so I look to throw it straight up in the blog for easy access.
Pottery Barn Bedding (Here is a way cheaper option)
Wreath ( Not the same as that is 4 years old, but similar )
Hope you enjoyed our Holiday Master Bedroom & It inspires you to deck the halls and cozy up your room!
