This post is sponsored and Schlage Canada gifted us the handles in this post
I hope you all had such an amazing weekend. I’m still laying low as I don’t want to tear anything. But we did a miniature revamp on our front door and it’s amazing to see the difference. Schlage Canada sent over this stunning ‘Schlage Sense‘ so we decided to paint our front door, add some plants, mats and install our new handle!
The before and after is pretty remarkable and I HIGHLY suggest you check out Schlage handles before you start your next project. The reason why we picked out the Schlage Sense is because you can unlock your door from your smartphone or by using a code.
Funny Story: A few months back, I was going to pick up our boys from school and I accidentally locked my keys inside the house. I tried every single door and window and finally found an open window in our master, but it’s 7 feet off the ground. So I had to crawl through my teeny window and I fell head first into my bedroom…ouch!. I swore then and there that I would never do that again.
Here’s a quick before shot. It was the only photo of our door I could find in our 12,000 photos

Looking back, this handle would have totally come in handy.

We live in a nicely updated 1970’s rancher. It has so many beautiful updates but the front door was not one of them. We decided to paint the front door in a dark slate grey so the black handle would pop. Also, the lighting of the front door looks slightly different in all the photos from the sun that was beaming down. But this photo seemed the most true to colour.

The handle was pretty easy to install too! Schlage makes an app that guides you through every single step and when I say easy, I mean easy. Once completely installed, it prompts you to create a code for your front door. But shhh, you won’t be finding it out ๐

It also comes with a key if you don’t think you can remember a code. The numbers light up which is really handy if you forget to leave your outdoor lights on at night.

We also grabbed a few plants to fill these lonely pots that were at our front entrance and honestly, our entrance looks 100% better. It’s amazing what a little paint and a new handle can do!

I hope you loved this small front door makeover with Schlage Canada!
