I still can’t believe it, MY home was published in HGTV Magazine.
Did you also grow up watching HGTV? House Hunters on re-run, Sarah Richardson’s unique designs, Chip and Jo Gaines and everything in between. It’s the channel we STILL gravitate to on Saturday mornings.
I can’t say it started my love for design because I truly believe my love for design grew from my surroundings – my childhood house. But it definitely fueled my love for design.
My Mom had carefully decorated our home with Antiques from her side of the family and my dad’s side of the family. We didn’t have expensive furniture and nothing name brand, but she still made our home feel so cozy and a place you wanted to be in. That style has translated into my home now. First and foremost, my home HAS to feel cozy… I love decorating with clean lines and antiques, aged wood, and I have a love for anything chippy.
To be honest, I was shocked when they reached out to feature my old entrance because I didn’t think it was magazine worthy at all. But I wasn’t about to argue at all! I thought it would be fun to show you the looks this tiny entrance has had over the last almost three years.
