Hello Friends and happy Friday! Can you even believe that there is only 25 days left until Christmas? I feel like I blinked and November was over. I did spend almost two weeks of it really sick, so maybe that plays a roll in it
Anyways, this blog has been a while in the making. When we moved in our Landlords were super sweet and said we could paint the dreaded dark navy blue in our bedroom. But It seems every single weekend has been planned and we’ve been so busy. I carved out some time a month ago to paint our bedroom in “Shiplap White” from Magnolia Homes paint line. It’s my absolute favourite paint line to work with – it goes on super thick and is such a quality paint. It’s my second time painting a bedroom with this paint and I don’t think I can ever use another paint. I also painted our night stands with their chalk paint line in “piglet”.
Here’s the “Before” of our bedroom. I’m the worst at taking before photos, so this shot is the courtesy of our Landlords.

After painting the bedroom, I knew I wanted to change out the fan for the time being as A, we didn’t use it and B, since our room is SO teeny, I wanted a light fixture with a bit more impact.
Kichler Lighting makes this stunning beaded chandelier and I knew I had to have it in our space. It makes our room feel so high end!
In all of my home decor, I keep a really neutral pallet as I like to change things up constantly. In our bedroom though, our side tables are painted light pink and let me tell you – I’m getting slightly tired of them. See, why do I do this to myself? I’ve only had them painted pink for about a month.
As for the wallpaper, I grabbed this faux wood paneling from Rocky Mountain Decals. I worked with them back in 2016 and has such a great experience with their product. This is a vinyl, so it peels off super easy if you make a mistake. It’s great for renters as it doesn’t damage walls whatsoever. So when you move out, you can easy pull it off for a damage free wall.
I love how it makes such a big impact to the room without putting holes in the walls. A big win win in my books.
Our room is such a tiny space that I wanted the one wall to have texture on it, especially to distract from the ugly wall valance on the right wall.
The “I Love You” signs are from my sweet friend Tatum over at Timber & Gray. She makes such beautiful wood signs and has a shop full of curated goods – she’s Canadian!

I hope you guys loved this easy transformation. This removable wallpaper really does amazing things!
