The Boys Rustic Industrial Bedroom Reveal

January 26, 2018 5 Comments

Rustic Industrial Bedroom Reveal

Good afternoon Friends.

Before I jump into the boys rustic industrial bedroom reveal I just have to really quickly mention that I was blown away by all the love from my last post. Seriously. You guys are amazing. The comments & emails were so delightful to read. I hope more of you speak up on here because the best part of blogging is reading the comments after. Since switching commenting/sharing systems all the old comments and shares were deleted. Such sadness. It basically looks like I’ve been blogging to no one for two years.

The Mid Week Ramble..

March 15, 2017 1 Comment

Hey guys! I had to jump on & chat about a few really fun collaborations I’ve been a part of this past week. If you’re on my Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve had some fun brands send me some goodies to show off to y’all. Me being me, wasted no time putting them up & showing you. I mean, how could I not?

First up, I had the amazing Melanie from Decor By Nature ask if I would be interested in her sending me a free piece of art, in return, me posting about it. I mean, YES. I didn’t have to think about that one long as her work is stunning and everything comes from her heart. She’s local to me & an Islander girl, although, I believe she ships too! Here’s the spot in my home that I ended up putting it, it’s right beside my family room so we have a daily reminder to look at.

Isn’t it so sweet? I’ve wanted that print for a while, but for some reason I never bought it. Well now I have it and I’m in love.

Second up is a collaboration I’ve had in the works for a bit. Stikwood sent me over enough wood planks to cover my entire dining room wall. What is amazing about these planks is that they have stickies on the back, so if you’re a renter,  you can easily remove them when you leave. They are so simple to install, I did my wall in about two hours. Of course, you either need a table saw or a very sharp exacto blade as you will need to cut the end planks to size. I won’t go into detail about this project as I wanted to do a room reveal closer to the end of the month. But here’s a little sneak peek of the wall.

I think it looks so good with my heavily distressed harvest able. I mean, this look isn’t for everyone, which I always tell my clients. But I sure love it.

Towards the end of the month, I will be doing a dining room reveal as I’m doing two other collaborations in my dining room for chairs & rug and I’m doing a few DIY projects which you don’t want to miss.

I’ve been fighting a super weird bug lately. I have no idea what it is.. but I’ve had the lowest energy, so I’ve been blogless for a few days now.

Hope you’re all having an amazing week & let me know what you think of the two goodies I get this week. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for stopping by!

  • This sweet boy has defied the odds over and over again. He’s completed our family & helped our family grow closer together.
Tomorrow, we head back to Children’s hospital to run more tests. Kind of neat to spend his birthday in the exact place as he did last year. We’re so grateful for all Children’s has done for our family and will continue to do. 🖤
  • ✨Double tap if you’ve got an amazing dad or hubby in your life✨
.
I recently came across a post that was shaming dads for not showing up or pulling their weight. I guess I find so much offence In this because I know so many amazing dads who do it all.
.
Let me first say, I KNOW those men exist; but so do those women.
.
I’m really over people generalizing groups of people. I wouldn’t be who I am or what I am if it wasn’t for the strong force behind me: my husband.
.
Yes, I’m lucky. But I also refuse to accept less. We both pull our weight in every area of our lives as equals & as partners.
......
And, I’ll get off my soapbox. But know, I’m rooting for you good dads of the world 👊🏻
  • Cheesin’ cause mama caved and gave him boobies. 😬
  • This little dude is ONE on Thursday 😭😭
Freeze time freeze.
.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.” Psalm 139:13-18
  • Do you ever feel like a shell of yourself?
I’m going to be real honest with you, lately, I have.
Here’s the thing, I know it’s hormones as I’m weaning Rhett, but that doesn’t make it any better.
Some days I’m okay and done days I’m just sad and blah feeling.
.
THIS DOESN’T MEAN I NEED HELP. IT MEANS I’M BEING VULNERABLE WITH YOU + HOPING THIS MIGHT HELP NORMALIZE THESE FEELINGS ALL MAMAS FEEL.
.
If you’re in this phase of your life, know this will pass. It isn’t forever and someday the extra snuggles will be missed.
.
Give yourself the biggest pat on the back for being everything you are.
.
PS, being a female is hard work. We’re pretty much walking stress balls.
  • Good morning & I hope you’re functioning in this crazy amounts of snow out there!
If you missed the blog on the details of putting up this removable wallpaper from @urbanwalls hit the link in my bio to check it out!
