I’m good at many things, what I’m not good at is keeping plants alive. There are a few exceptions to this statement: Birds of Paradise, Spider Plants, Cacti and Snake Plants seem to due okay as they need minimal effort. I wanted to share with you the best faux houseplants that we have in our home
Faux houseplants get a bad rap because many can look exactly that, fake.
But after reading reviews and living with different types of faux houseplants here are my favourite in our home.
The Best Faux Houseplants
If you’re like me, you might of killed 1, 2….maybe 4 Fiddle Leaf Fig Trees. Yes, I’ve killed 4. You basically have to live in a extremely well lit home with no children and it has to be the perfect humidity to have one of these trees thrive. It’s sad because I love the look of them.
In January we got this Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree and I’m obsessed. It looks pretty close to real and comes with a cute burlap base. I have mine in a cute wicker basket usually.

2. Uva Stalk
I love the look of pampas grass and this UVA grass is so pretty and fills out a corner perfectly. Not only that, the price tag is incredible! I have three stalks in this vase. The only thing with Pampas or this UVA grass is that it does fall apart easily. So make sure your kids don’t touch it.

3. Olive Tree
I’ve had a few real olive trees in my home over the last few years, but they haven’t really done that wall. Again, plant killer by nature. I recently got this 5′ Olive Tree and I’m obsessed with it. There are a ton floating around. I do like this one as well, but it isn’t sold in Canada and I’ve heard it isn’t as nice.
These can give a really nice organic feel to a room.

4. Olive Stems
This isn’t a plant, but I thought I would add it to the list as they fill out a vase really beautifully. I got them from here. We also have a real one that is potted in our home, but it most likely will not live. Nothing really thrives in our home as it’s quite dark. Now I will say these look pretty fake up close – but they are nice from far away.

5. FEJKA
I don’t even know what kind of faux plant this is. But if you want a climbing plant in a dark room – this is your best bet. They do look faux from up close, but from far away they look real!

6. Sage Bush
This was one of my first faux plants I ever got. I love the light colour of this faux plant. Unfortunately I cannot find similar sage or this sage anywhere on the internet. But you can find it here occasionally.

I got this a few years back from AFloral, sadly, they no longer sell it or anything like it, but I’ve linked a store that does.
It’s so pretty in a vase or a basket as shown. You can easily manipulate the branches to lay how you want them to and it’s super full!

Above is clickable photos to the plants in our home and I’ve added a few of my favorites besides the ones I’ve shared too!
