Hey Guys – did you make it through the Holidays? We sure did and personally, I’m a bit sad they’re over. This Christmas I’ve been more exhausted than ever with a large 30 week baby bump brewing in me & three littles running around making messes by the second. But all the get togethers with family & friends have been so enjoyable and I will truly miss all of it.
I know I’ve been a pretty distant as of late, letting you into so little of my life. But I can promise we’ve lived a lot of it. I just haven’t had time to blog.
Back in early December I was lucky to collaborate with Washabelle. An amazing company that makes washable mattresses. I mean, how many of you have kids that wet the bed? Luckily, we do not, but I know so many that do and the amount of foamies, mattress toppers and mattresses that have died in the process is pretty staggering.
So I’m first going to state that these mattresses were gifted to me by my Washabelle. This is also a full and honest review on the mattresses. All words are my own and I was not paid to lie or give a positive review.
Okay, so now that we’ve gotten that awkwardness out of the way, lets talk about the mattresses.
First off, they are SO FLIPPING COMFORTABLE. Like, I’m talking the first night we set them up, I actually fell asleep on one. They’re also really good quality. All the materials they use are high end, which is a good thing if you will be washing it a lot.
I’ve haven’t actually washed the mattress yet as our kids do not pee the bed, but here’s a break down on the bed being stripped and washed. It will BLOW YOUR MIND.
When you get the mattress, it comes in a box. They give you a special tool to cut the plastic, but do not open it until you have it in the room you want it to be in because it slowly inflates to full size.
If /when you ever need to wash the mattress layers, there is a zipper that goes all the way around the mattress. You simply unzip it and wash the top three layers – easy peasy!
Our boys have now slept on these brand new Washable mattresses for 10 days and they have:
-Slept in Longer
-Spent more time in their room reading/playing
It could totally be coincidence, but I’m going to chalk it up to a better mattress, better spine alignment and a cozier enviroment!
I hope you guys are enjoying the last little bit of your holidays. I know this week has been a very special one for us. We are really trying to focus on each other and the little things. Currently today we have made blueberry pancakes, have a turkey in the oven cooking and we’re baking up a storm. Did I mention it’s snowing outside like crazy? I’d say today is an A+ on my Christmas radar.
