Hello and happy Sunday Friends!
This weekend was a total whirlwind and I caught myself complaining because I wasn’t allowed to relax a ton, but then I had to totally give myself a slap in the face and be thankful for my opportunity to work and not have to go to a 9-5 job. I had to work all weekend, BUT I GET to be home with my kids all week. So, win win.
If you’re following me on my Instagram, you’ll know that I got some goodies in the mail from AFloral last week and on November 1st, I decided to do a bit of decorating. I wouldn’t call this a Christmas tablescape by any means, as it can be carried into the New Year, but it’s wintery and cozy!
Everything on this table, minus the plates and table runner are all from Afloral. The best thing about AFloral is that everything is super reasonably priced!
My sweet friend Addy from Homestead On The River Bed made this super gorgeous table runner for me. I used it as my starting point and placed the seeded eucalyptus garland on top. It has a natural wave in it and then I started placing the snowy alpine trees and gold aluminum candlesticks in between the branches. It ended up turning out so beautiful. The only thing I’m missing is candlesticks but everywhere in my small town was out of simple ivory candlesticks.
I also placed these mini wreath place card holders on our existing plates for added elegance. We don’t really use napkins, but I thought they would look cute even tied on the back of chairs.
I also bought some one dollar mini frosted trees and chargers that were 2.99 from Walmart. I then painted the chargers and distressed them. I love how they add so much texture to the table without being too colourful. I love Christmas and winter decor, but too much colour competing stresses me out!
This tablescape is super versatile and you can make it more simple or add more flowers or decor if you feel you need more. Since my table isn’t very big, I love this simple arrangement. It’s festive, yet not overbearing.
I’d love to hear what you think of this winter table decor in the comments!
very, very nice!
Thank you so much!
I too buy chargers on the cheap when I can find them and paint them to fit my table.
A nice champagne color by Rustoleum and heritage white for others. So much use when you can do this.
Beautiful!
