My sister and I were in the kitchen the other day and she said to me
“Jess, how do you know what pillows to pick and how to style them?”
I was kind of dumb struck.. and I didn’t really know what to say so I said what first came to my mind
“Well, I just look for different textures that blend together and compliment each other”
She was happy with this answer and then said that i should write a blog about it for all the other people in the world. So here I am, blogging about the best farmhouse pillows and how to pick them!
If you know me, you know I love anything that looks like it would be pulled out of a farmhouse. I love distressed and old looking pillows but I also like to balance them out with a pillow that looks fresh & more “modern”. You can’t have all your pillows looking old because then you need something to balance the old with the new.
This addition of “Best Farmhouse Pillows & How To Pick Em’. Will consist of a few favourites of mine from decor steals, Etsy and various other sites. So hop on board and read below, links are ready if you want to purchase.
This is one of my favourite pillows ever. It’s so laid back and is slightly distressed. It brings so much character to a room without being too busy and the horizontal lines make your home feel extra comfortable.
2. Joelle Pillow Cover in Parchment
This pillow isn’t very farmhouse looking. But you need a few plain accent pillows to break up the patterned & worded pillows. Otherwise your home will start to feel too busy.
3. De Paris Pillow
This pillow is super cute & cheap. It adds a bit of grunge/vintage nature to your sofa and I love this pillow personally.
How adorable is this pillow? I love how vintage it looks. I don’t know if I would pair this pillow with the above pillows on the same sofa. But in the same room would be super sweet.
I feel like this fury pillow ties all the pillows in. It looks like a lamb on the farm and makes me feel so cozy.
I hope y’all had a beautiful weekend. Ours was crazy, fast and busy. I’m just doing some reading for school tonight and then I’m hitting the covers hard!
