Welcome to the blog today Friends! Christmas is my favourite time of the year to decorate for. But let me tell you, I haven’t always been good at it. I would go overboard and purchase anything remotely Christmas coloured and Santa-like and throw it all over every inch of my home.
It’s a good thing that over the years, I’ve curated my craft 😉
If wanting to see a more farmhouse Christmas, check out my walk through from last year, here.
This year, I really wanted to focus on natural woods, white and black.

We traded out the tree we had last year for this King of Christmas tree. I actually have only put a few pieces on the tree so far. My good friend found a ton of natural wood nutcrackers at the dollar store, so I will be picking those up tomorrow as well as some natural wood garlands.
Side note, if you keep reading to the bottom of the blog, I’ll have sources for most of the decor in this room for you.
If you follow me on the ‘gram, I painted our fireplace back in September and I was literally THIS CLOSE to painting it back to white, but I’m so glad I kept it black for the Christmas season. I will most likely paint it white for Spring.

And because I constantly get so many questions on these stockings, my best friend made them for me. But she now has a full time job that is demanding so she no longer sews for a living.
If wanting to purchase similar ones, Anthropologie has some very similar knit ones this year.
As for the garland, it’s a 6′ flocked pine garland mixed in with my 6′ eucalyptus garland from AFloral. I always love to add some greenery that is a little bit unexpected besides the basic pine.

Our living room has very little colour this year besides our Timber Sectional. But I honestly like to keep my home pretty muted during fall and winter and then I reserve colour for Spring and Summer. It’s just my personal preference.

As you can see up close on our tree, I’ve barely decorated it yet. But this is the flock on the tree. If wanting to view the tree online, I’ve linked it above. Or you can scroll below and I’ve linked it there too. If you purchase, feel free to use this code for 10% off: JESSICASARAMORRIS
I’m super excited to get the rest of my home decorated, but I like to slowly decorate over a two week period so I don’t go on overload.

Nice fireplace ready to Xs
Thank you!
I love the flocked tree with the black fireplace.
Gorgeous! Where’s the rug from?
It’s from Loloi Rugs! Here’s the direct link: https://rstyle.me/cz-n/du38q2b6xd7
Why does the rug look white in your pin but when I go the website it looks beige. Like a totally different rug?
It’s cream. It’s not stark white, but not beige 🙂
