Jumping on today to talk to you about how you can give more practical gifts at Christmas. Christmas time is such a beautiful time of year. It’s about getting together with your loved ones, eating yummy treats and foods and replaying traditions from years passed. But gifts do play a huge part in this season and for a lot of people it can be so stressful.
Not knowing what to get and then getting something that will most likely fill a drawer and never be used or touched.
Honestly, I’ve received some pretty bad gifts over the years. One year I received a metal rooster, another year I received a box of lotions – does every man on the planet think women want random low quality bath lotions?! Another year I received lingerie that was two sizes too big! I do feel so grateful to receive gifts, but when I think about it, they went out and spent their hard earned money on a gift that I never used and I ended up donating which seems crazy to me.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m hard to buy for. I have a very small list of items I want.
For me, I love searching for gifts I know that my friends and family will use. But for that person that might not live locally or you don’t know what to buy them, I love purchasing a gift card.

I’ve teamed up with Shopping.ca to show you how one of their giftcards can make gift giving so much easier. If you head to their website, you can see the supported malls across Canada.
I live nearest to the Woodgrove Centre, but other local malls include but are not limited to:
Mayfair Mall ( Victoria )
Metropolis Metrotown
Tsawwassen Mills
Guildford Town Centre

The Shopping.ca gift card can be used at participating retailers across Canada making gift giving easy and fun.
The gift card can be purchased at the Guest Services kiosk of participating shopping centres across Canada or you can buy one here.
These cards can be loaded with as little as 25.00 and up to 1000.00 in person or 400.00 online.
I hope your Holiday Season is filled with much cheer and you can relax this year and enjoy the true act of giving.
