So something that has been on my mind.. or should I say, in my mind, is my allergy trio. As most of you know at this point, I use essential oils from young living. They have truly been a game changer in my life for so many reasons, but I had to pop on to chat about my allergy trio for my awful allergies.

Since I was 19 I’ve struggled with really bad allergies from mid spring to mid summer. Yeah.. pretty much like a quarter of the year. Every year I blow up, I sneeze non stop, I can barely see out of my eyes, I itch non stop and life is pretty miserable, especially since spring is my favourite time of year. I normally pop claraton like it’s no ones business which I feel still doesn’t work that well. The last three years I have either been pregnant or breastfeeding so I haven’t taken any allergy medication and I’ve just lived with my “condition”. I swear, allergies are like your worst cold. The congestion, swollen eyes, itchiness, and sneezing is so bad.

This year I decided to start using my allergy trio from Young Living which consists of Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint. Sounds like a joke. But it’s for real. This powerful little trio kicks my symptoms in the BUTT. For times that I need something REALLY strong I dab peppermint right on the end of my nose & I’ve had relief within minutes.

Here’s a photo of my eye from this morning. We went for a drive to the post office and I was sans makeup or any essential oils. I actually forgot to bring my oils - this never happens. So my eye was so bad. You can’t really see it in the photo, but the red flesh of my eye socket was puffing up onto my eye - so painful & swollen. Super itchy & runny.

Did my eyeball scare you a bit? It doesn’t look nearly as bad as it felt. I did take one photo of me pulling my socket down to show you how swollen it was, but I thought I would spare you that photo.

So that photo was taken 30 minutes after the first. I put my blend on, let it sit for 5 minutes and then and jumped in the shower. Trust me, I needed it. Then threw my makeup on and here’s my happy, fresh, swollen-free face!

I like to put the oil on the tip of my nose, on my temples and on my neck. Those are the places that I’ve had the best results with so I just make sure I always have a little tester sized container with me wherever I go. Because I feel like it wears off after a few hours. Also, the peppermint cools down your body. It actually feels like you have a ice pack on your skin - the best feeling on a 31 C+ degree day.

So there you have it. My allergy trio to kick your bad seasonal allergies in the butt! This blend is 100% natural and is good for your body. Look up the other uses for lemon, peppermint and lavender because there are SO many.

For those of you that are looking for an allergy blend for your kids, OR you’re pregnant. I would for sure do your research before putting this blend on you or your child. I’m not a doctor and your own research should be done. Essential Oils are very powerful & should be used very sparingly.
