This year we aren’t overly cheesifying our home for Christmas. I’m still not done decorating, but we really wanted a simple silver/gold/white decor for Christmas this year.
I’m currently waiting on some rustic olive buckets for behind our sofa to put some real mini trees in, and other than that, the dining/living room hasn’t been decorated yet. If you’ve been a follower for a while you have most likely seen our Christmas patio here.
I love simple decor. I love decorating with old pieces and real ( or realistic faux plants )
I still am not 100% done decorating this room. I still have yet to put up my drop sheet curtains/hardware. I’m dying to put that tutorial up on the blog for you. I’ve seen these drapes ALL OVER the web and they’re so farmhouse chic! Best yet, you can get 4 drapes for under 100 bucks! So stay tuned for that.
The coffee table, ladder and media cabinet were all built & finished by Glen and I our company ( The Rugged Home ) But the pieces are a mix between old vintage finds from over the years and Homesense.
Behind our sofa I have this “junk piece” as Glen likes to call it that I made into a farmhouse distressed sofa table. I will be putting three mini Christmas trees on this piece in Olive buckets, but they haven’t come yet.
It’s all a work in progress, especially since we just moved in a month ago. I just really want our new home to be gorgeous, but also functional. I want people to come into our home and instantly feel at home.
It looks beautiful , the tree is gorgeous. Yes your home looks comfortable and inviting x
Thanks so much Catherine!
